As long as the Education in Saudi Arabia does not required English to be taught in schools, and it
seems very important for children these days while it is considered the first global language, it is
very important to teach it from kindergarten. It might be hard to make children’s brains gain
a new language especially before 6th years of age. Yet, children can acquire language skills at
any age with encouragement, support, use of an especial way, and materials. How can we teach
children in school by using these ways? First, we have always to turn the music, DVDs and TVs
on that are appropriate for their age. Second, help them with daily activities such as drawing, bathing,
and making games so fun. Third, Read English picture or books and let the children repeat words. After
a while, they will easily remember what you have taught them.
Task
Teachers are going to follow the guidelines I am going to include in this project. They are going to be
able to look at the way of teaching classes from 1st – 4th grade to Arabic children, who do not speak
English at all. Teachers are going to be able to use pictures and look at English stories that are going
to be given to students to increase their level of knowledge.
Process:
Written description of the way of teaching and the materials are going to be used supported by
the whole required images or basic images that could be utilized in teaching those specific grades.
In addition, teachers have to increase their knowledge in this field by watching youtube video and get
variety of appropriate images that could help them in teaching children.
Evaluation
Teachers will have to answer questions related to this topic. When answering the question
correctly, they get 100%. 0% will be received if the answer is incorrect. In between, they will receive their grades as it appears on the following table.
